I am a writer and academic interested in politics, history, and theory. I’m currently a junior research fellow in politics at University College, Oxford. I previously received a PhD in political science from the University of Chicago and taught at Yale University as a postdoctoral fellow in the humanities.
My primary academic interests are in political and social theory, both historical and contemporary. Before going into academia, I worked as a political journalist, and I continue to write about contemporary politics for a general audience. My work has appeared in scholarly journals like Political Theory, Modern Intellectual History, and the American Political Science Review, as well as magazines like Dissent, The Nation, The New Republic, and n+1.
